RTJ Gasket
Metallic Ring Type Joint gaskets designed for use in specially machined ring grooves. The gasket is compressed within the groove to create a high-integrity metal-to-metal sealing arrangement.
Specialized sealing solutions for demanding industrial flange and equipment connections, including RTJ, Kammprofile and jacketed gaskets. Configured according to flange geometry, pressure class, material, service media and project requirements.
Engineered and specialized gaskets are designed for applications where conventional sheet, fiber or elastomer gaskets may not provide the required sealing performance or mechanical characteristics.
Rhevon supplies specialized gasket configurations including Ring Type Joint (RTJ), Kammprofile and jacketed gaskets. Each design uses a different sealing principle and is selected according to the flange, equipment geometry and operating conditions.
Material selection can include stainless steels, carbon steels and selected alloy materials, together with suitable graphite, PTFE or other facing and filler materials where applicable.
These gaskets are generally supplied against specific dimensional, material and service requirements. Buyers can provide a drawing, existing gasket identification, flange standard or complete technical specification for quotation.

Semi-metallic gaskets consisting of a serrated or corrugated metallic core with a soft sealing layer. They provide controlled compression and are suitable for demanding flange and equipment applications.
Gaskets consisting of a soft filler material enclosed partially or completely within a metallic jacket. The construction combines a conformable filler with the mechanical protection of the metal jacket.
Material combinations are selected according to the gasket construction, operating temperature, pressure, process media and project specification.

For jacketed or grooved constructions, obtain the applicable ASME B16.20 table or an approved drawing with ID, OD, thickness and facing detail.
Specialized gasket requirements can be reviewed against the applicable dimensional standard, material specification, flange or equipment drawing and purchase order requirements before supply.
Common questions about RTJ, Kammprofile and jacketed gasket selection, materials and project requirements.
Rhevon can source specialized gasket configurations including Ring Type Joint (RTJ), Kammprofile and jacketed gaskets. The appropriate construction is selected according to the flange or equipment design and operating requirements.
An RTJ gasket is a metallic ring-type gasket designed for use with flanges having a matching ring groove. RTJ arrangements are commonly used in demanding high-pressure and high-temperature piping and equipment applications.
A Kammprofile gasket consists of a serrated metallic core combined with a softer facing material. The metallic core provides mechanical stability while the facing material assists in creating the sealing interface.
A jacketed gasket consists of a relatively soft filler enclosed partially or completely within a metallic jacket. The filler provides conformability while the metal jacket protects the sealing material and provides additional mechanical support.
For specialized gaskets, provide the gasket type, nominal size, pressure class, flange or equipment standard, material, dimensions, thickness, facing or filler material, quantity and service conditions where applicable. A drawing or existing gasket sample/specification is particularly useful for engineered requirements.
Share the gasket type, dimensions, material, pressure class, flange or equipment specification, quantity and service requirements. Drawings and mixed piping component requirements are also welcome.
